Kulinski Update: Kyle Apologizes for SOME of his attacks on Jimmy Dore, but Doubles Down On His Lies
Following up on my last column, Kyle Kulinski put up a YouTube video in the wake of Jimmy Dore’s response to his attack the other day, apologizing for some of the things he said, but then doubled down on the lies he told.
Don’t get me wrong. I am glad Kyle took the time to further explain himself and apologize for the things he did apologize for. Smug elitist Bill-Maher-esque attitude aside, he does strike me as being a generally good guy with a lot of potential. But his inability to admit his deliberate deception, inability probably based more on ego than upon anything else, means I have to call him out.
I’ve posted my thoughts in a Twitter thread about Kyle’s latest video, but I’ll expand on them a bit here in preparation for my upcoming video.
Kyle's half-assed apology regarding blowing off Jimmy is dishonest & insincere. He admits he should have given Jimmy advance notice that their segment was cancelled, but he ignored Jimmy's texts because, AS HE ADMITS, he and Krystal were recording with Cenk Uygur's nephew, who dunked on Jimmy. Rather than scold him and ask that Jimmy not be brought up or that his legitimate gripes not be dismissed as “drama,” they instead laughed and agreed.
Kyle dismisses this as Jimmy taking it as a “slight” and overreacting, but the fact is that it very mush WAS a slight. You schedule Jimmy to appear on your show, don’t give him any notification that you decided to cancel, let him think he’s being ghosted—because you were ghosting him, and you did this because you were, AS YOU ADMIT, in the middle of recording that segment with Uygur’s nephew in which you all proceeded to have your chuckles at Jimmy’s expense. And you KNEW this was unprofessional, rude, childish behavior. YES, Jimmy took it as a slight, BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS. Lying about it trying to downplay what you did renders your lame-ass apology completely invalid.
Kyle doubled down on his false accusation that Jimmy was"slut-shaming" Ana Kasparian. He knows what constitutes professional workplace attire & what constitutes sexual harassment. Again, Kyle is lying and knows he's lying. Kyle also defended his own inappropriate behavior regarding Kasparian getting more view if she masturbated on air than Uygur would, while refusing to admit to the hypocrisy of scolding Jimmy Dore over supposedly “slut-shaming” her when he knows he didn’t.
Kyle deliberately omitted his having deceptively edited the video of Max Blumenthal to misconstrue his reaction to learning of Kasparian’s blackmail attempt.
Kyle keeps trying to have it both ways, complaining he wanted to stay out of the whole feud, lying that he was dragged into it, and lamenting he’s now lost all his friends because of also alienating TYT. But Kyle chose of his own accord to attack Jimmy Dore using false arguments, instead of standing up for him. Kyle chose to wade in and alienate friends he could have avoided alienating, but sees nothing wrong with having done so.
Those are some of my thoughts on Kulinski’s latest video. He’s half Polish, like me, so I get his stubborn streak. It’s in the blood. But that stubborn refusal to admit he lied is what’s gotten him in trouble with friends he had no business dunking on, knows he had no business dunking on, and are only defending themselves from his own smears that he chose to make.
What are your thoughts?
(By the way, I am surprised and grateful for the overall reactions to what I posted regarding this topic. One of the reasons I decided to try and get into reporting on events, especially with regard to politics, is because there are so few genuine voices on the actual left that have managed to get platforms large enough to be heard. We as leftists have to be willing and able to hold our own to account every bit as much as we do the far right, and for the same reason: so people can learn the truth about what is being done with our money and in our names. Thank you for your support. I will endeavor to live up to expectations.)
